Autumn and Eve

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1143426221/autumn-and-eveSo. Recently I decided to rework one of my older paintings, titled 'Autumn and Eve'. It's the first piece in the 'Eve' series, and I decided to fix it because I was unsatisfied with the original look. You can see it here below:

I originally completed it way back in 2003, and I wanted to 'fix' it because my skill level with oil painting has come up a little bit since then. You can see the 2021 'repaired' version here:

Some of an improvement. Still not where I'd like it to be; the only alternative would have been to scrap this piece entirely and do another from scratch. I'd hate to to do that, especially since this piece was already framed and ready to hang. Now for a side by side comparison:

Overall, I think it turned out well without just scraping the entire thing. Next, I'll take a look at the next piece in the 'Eve' series, 'The Temptation Of Adam'. See you there.
