Here we have another powerful character profile; this time, the 'big-bad' of Life World, Konton- Ran!
.The disappearance of both the Animus and Bereshith left a void, a vacuum that needed to be filled. And there were powers still on Life World that longed to fill such a void. Ideally, once the Animus was destroyed, the Life World should have been restored to its original paradisaical condition, and indeed, for a brief time, its inhabitants enjoyed peace. But even as they slowly rebuilt their world, the bowels of the planet held a dark secret. The remnants of the Animus’ Marauder horde still skulked in the shadows, licking their wounds. In the dark, hidden places of the world, leaderless and unwelcome amongst the civilized peoples of Life World, they needed only a leader to give them purpose and to loose them upon an unsuspecting world once more. Within the demolished ruins of the Animus’ stronghold dwelt such a one. He had once been a Marauder lieutenant, an ordinary soldier, if such a term could be applied. There was no longer anything ordinary about a person who had undergone the horrifying transition process from a normal person into a savage Marauder.
He had been one of Wyrmwood’s lieutenants until the Animus killed that one for his incompetence. Then, after Loki's suicide, this lieutenant would have been next to become the Animus’s right hand, had not the Animus itself been destroyed by the Bereshith.
But now, he has risen in power, neither the Animus nor Bereshith present to hold him in check. He had at last assumed his rightful place as lord of the Marauders; soon over all of Life World. Where Animus had fallen short, he would prevail.
Had he once been a seraph, as so many other Marauders had been? He could not remember, nor would he now care if he did. Even the name he had taken on after his conversion to Marauder was lost to him. He had taken on a new name for himself, a name that befitted his manner and station. A derivation of the Japanese word for chaos, Life World knew him now by this name only: Konton-Ran.
